I just got a text message from MeetMeTix that someone has Reserved my tickets! What do I do next?

Open the text message you received from MeetMeTix. This is your anonymous text message channel to contact the buyer and arrange a meeting so you can hand over the tickets and get paid (the phone number you see is from us, not the buyer). When you meet and the buyer has verified the tickets, he or she will text "Buy" and then enter their 4-digit PIN which will direct MeetMeTix to charge the buyer's credit card. Both you and the buyer will receive a text message confirming your payment. That's it! Your money will be sent direct to your bank account.

What does MeetMeTix cost?

MeetMeTix is free for sellers.

Buyers are charged a 10% fee at time of purchase.

Why do buyers pay a 10% fee and not sellers?

Most folks with extra tickets have already paid a fee to buy them in the first place, so we don't think it's fair to rub salt in the wound with a second round of fees to resell them like most ticket sites do. Also, the MeetMeTix payment provider does not charge us to send sales proceeds direct to a seller's bank account.

We do have credit card processing (merchant) fees, hosting fees, SMS fees and other costs associated with operating MMT however (we are a business), which is why we charge buyer's a 10% fee to keep the lights on and cover our overhead. We'd hope you'll agree that our 10% fee is more than fair for our one-of-a-kind service, especially in comparison to other brokers, sites, competitors and last minute ticket options.

How does your "Buyer Money Back Guarantee" work?

Why can't I just pay cash for tickets on MeetMeTix?

The MeetMeTix payment system has been designed not just as an efficient last minute payment solution but also as a safer and more secure way for strangers to buy and sell tickets. What does MeetMeTix do with my credit card and bank account information?

To best protect each user's privacy and financial information, MeetMeTix does not have any direct access to your credit card or bank account information. Our trusted payment provider maintains those items separately in accordance with all PCI compliance rules. That information is secured off our site to ensure protection of your sensitive financial information.

When does MeetMeTix charge my credit card?

We charge your card when you text "Buy" and then text your personal 4-digit PIN to authorize us to complete your ticket purchase. This is after you have reserved your tickets, met up with the seller, and verified the tickets are as promised.

What happens to my credit card when I click Reserve & Connect?

MeetMeTix places a HOLD on your credit card when you reserve, to ensure you and the seller that you can pay for the tickets when you both meet. This does not charge your card; it only checks if you have the funds available.

When will I get my money if I sell tickets?

It typically takes 2-3 business days for the sales proceeds to appear in your bank account. (The transfer is auto-generated by our payment processor -- not MeetMeTix.)

What will show up on my credit card statement and/or bank account?

Depending on your type of credit card and bank, transactions may show up as MeetMeTix or Balanced Payments on your statements.
